No history of the electronic music scene would be complete without mentioning the name of Reade Truth, one that evokes both futuristic anticipation and nostalgic reflection. Reade Truth is best identified as a veteran DJ of the New York scene whose deep dance floor visions have consistently provided an important source of edgy electronics always delivered with an inimitable style all his own.

His DJ roots branch forward from the alternative-industrial scene that flourished in New York City at the end of the 80's. He has held residencies at famous clubs like
Limelight, The Building and Pyramid and appeared at countless warehouse parties and raves all over the u.s. during the 90's.

His recording career started on the cult label Direct Drive and includes releases on Instinct and Strictly Rhythm soon he will have new releases available on Pomelo and Chinatown and Carl Craigs Planet E.

When i was listening to the early 90ies stuff last week another record that is even older got rediscovered in the record shelves ... just as essential as the ones mentioned below - a timeless classic from Lenny Dee and Tommy Musto released back in 1987 on the legendary Fourth Floor Records - a deep mellow trip.

What i really like about house getting more and more fashionable again is that older records like this one receive more attention again. i just saw that it got repressed (i guess a bootleg) but it is a great chance to get this incredible good record for a fair price. everyone who doesn't know it should listen and try to find a copy. together with dreamworld from egotrip (aka roger sanchez) my favourite deep house record of this aera.

Zwicker repräsentiert die elektronische Seite vom Züricher Cyril Boehler, auch bekannt als Tweak. Die ersten Zwicker Tracks sind im Herbst 2005 auf dem Label von Chicken Lips Mann Stevie Kotey, Bear Funk und auf Compost Black Label erschienen. Zwickers eigensinniger Elektro ist eine warme Mischung aus mutiertem Disco, Funk und House, versetzt mit prägnanten Melodien und futuristischem Ansatz.

Seit mehreren Jahren fungiert er als Resident der Le nouveau Beat Nächte im Zürcher Moods Club. Dort hat er zusammen mit zahlreichen Artists wie Metro Area, Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, Jamie Lidell oder Erobique aufgelegt. Ausserdem steuerte er bereits mehrere Remixes u.a. für Klein Records, Compost und Stephan Eicher (Grauzone) bei und arbeitete an Tracks mit Tony Allen, Freeform Arkestra, Kalabrese, Lexx und Seelenluft.
