RA - Resident Advisor developed from a local fan-page into an important opinion leader. I like the topics they are covering and the taste of visitors and editorial stuff is excellent. They voted Dj Sprinkles "Midtown 120 Blues" album of the year 2009 - we wrote about this release earlier on this blog - it definitely is brilliant.
Their weekly Podcast is more often than not good - but especially the one from last week deserves to be mentioned here. If you are a regular reader or listener from our shows you'll know that Lost In Music appreciates the output from Michel Baumann aka Soulphiction and his label Philpot (which takes its name from Larry Levan's real surname).
And again the Mix he deliveres for RA sees Baumann channel his twenty years of DJing experience into an irresistibly rolling melodic house mix that balances the exclusives with plenty of vintage classics.

I think the Pet Shop Boys are one of the greatest pop song writers in dance music history. the show in vienna was cool - chris lowe surprised the audience even with a dance interlude. i hope this time we don't have to wait nearly ten years to see them again.

I haven't played the foot therapy 12" for a while - and what a mistake - after 14 years these tracks still sound awesome. The prescription catalogue contains some of the greatest nineties house moments. chez & trent seem to be more active at the moment like a lot of other (deep) house producers that noticed that their older productions are attracting attention of a new generation of djs & producers.
